Register your surveillance camera with Brighton Police Department

security camera

The Brighton Police Department is looking for community partners to help cut down on crime in our city. Any resident or business with a camera on their property can register it with the department.

Video cameras are increasingly being used in both residential and commercial properties to prevent crime. As such, video surveillance has become extremely helpful in solving crimes, identifying perpetrators, and serves as valuable evidence in court. Many times the best available video evidence isn’t of the crime itself, but of pathways and streets leading into and out of the scene.

This service is optional and all registered information will be kept confidential and will only be viewed by Brighton Police Department personnel. Brighton Police Department will not monitor your cameras. This is strictly to be used as an investigative tool to aide officers and detectives.
