Delays with construction are postponing the opening at one
of the two new playgrounds at Brighton Park. The large, Farm-themed playground
that is located near the Brighton Recreation Center, 555 North 11 Ave., was
originally scheduled to open in time for Labor Day weekend but will now open
Friday, Sept. 28.
Once open, the new Farm-themed playground will feature a
completely accessible ramp and bridge structure, large animal and tractor play
structures, swings, slides, rubberized surfacing and plenty of shade.
Residents are encouraged to visit the smaller Jacks-themed playground that’s located off Midland Street in the meantime. This playground has been open since July 3.
