Tree Lighting Ceremony

The City of Brighton will be celebrating its annual Tree Lighting sponsored by United Power this December, one week before its annual Festival of Lights Parade. The annual tradition will take place Saturday, Dec. 3 from 2- 7 p.m. at Founders Plaza on Main and Bridge streets.

New to the event this year will be a Winter Market featuring unique artists, crafters, and artisan food vendors beginning at 2 p.m.

Other activities prior to the tree lighting include free face painting, the Teddy Bear & Friends Tree and Santa Comes to Town. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at Founders Plaza at 3:30 p.m.

Face Vocal Band, the internationally acclaimed all-vocal rock band from Boulder, will be performing from 5 - 7 p.m. on S. Main Street in front of Founders Plaza. Sponsored by the Brighton Economic Development Corporation, FACE will help City Council countdown as the Christmas Tree is lit at 5 p.m.

Winter Market

The City of Brighton is seeking artists and crafters to participate in a Winter Market during the city’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The arts and crafts “Winter Market” will be held from 2 - 7 p.m., on South Main Street near the city’s Founders Plaza.

We welcome unique artists, crafters, and artisan food vendors who exhibit handmade works of art. No resale, wholesale or direct sales are allowed. Seasonal art and crafts are preferred.

Vendor applications will be accepted until November 25. The fee for a vendor space is $25.  Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis as space is limited. Vendors must provide their own tent as well as tables and chairs if needed.
