Wheel Throwing 1

Join us for Pottery – Wheel Throwing 1. This beginning wheel throwing class is for students who have never used the potter’s wheel as well as students who are still developing their throwing skills. Participants will learn how to prep clay for wheel throwing as well as how to center, pull and push the clay on the wheel. Guided by a local professional pottery artist, students will practice making basic cylinder shapes such as mugs and bowls. Each class is structured for you to learn a technique that will be paired with a project, which means you are creating pieces on day one. The cost includes use of one of our pottery wheels, clay, tools, glaze as well as bisque and glaze firing of completed pieces.

Hand Building

Guided by a local professional pottery artist, students will learn how to pinch, coil, slab build and glaze. This beginner class is the best place to start your love affair with dirt!

Paint your own pottery

Join us for Paint Your Own Pottery. This one-day class gives participants the opportunity to explore ceramics in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, focused on glaze painting pre-made ceramic pieces. Whether you would like to create a unique piece for yourself, a personalized gift for someone else, or just have fun, this class will provide the opportunity to get creative. This class is especially fun for families, grandparent & grandchild day, girls’ day and also great as a self-care activity
