Attention:

The City of Brighton’s permitting, and inspections functions are moving over to a new online software. This will allow applicants, such as yourself, to apply for permits, check permit review status, make payments, and schedule inspections - all online. To make this transition, there will be a short period where we will not be able to accept new permit applications. We will still be conducting inspections during this time. This period will run from Thursday, August 17th from 2:00 pm through 5:00 pm Monday, August 21 st . We will resume accepting new permit applications with the new software on Tuesday, August 22nd. Please note that beginning August 22 nd , email and paper applications will no longer be accepted and you will instead need to create an online account at https://brightonco.viewpointcloud.com/ . You may also access our online portal at Brightonco.gov on the permitting page under Community Development. If you need assistance, please reach out to the permit counter at 303-655-2017.

Please note we have also amended some of our fees. Those changes may be found here

https://www.brightonco.gov/1218/Adopted-Fee-Regulations .

Thank you for your cooperation.

Effective January 1, 2023, all credit card transactions will be charged an additional fee of 2.9% of the total amount due.

Attention: Effective July 1st, 2023, we will be enforcing the 2023 National Electrical Code. Please update plans accordingly.
