Animal Welfare

Brighton residents can take an active role in maintaining and improving the quality of our community by following Brighton's Municipal Code. The CSO division is responsible for overseeing compliance with applicable city ordinances. This includes performing a variety of duties involved in the investigation of potential violations and the enforcement of animal codes, ordinances and regulations related to animal control while supporting the city of Brighton's mission and values. View Brighton's Municipal Code page.  All animal codes are located in Chapter 6.

The CSO division handles animal welfare calls in the City of Brighton.  We ensure that the animals we come into contact with are treated humanely, and that the owners we come into contact with are educated about any issues that may arise.

We are here to help you with all of your domestic pet-related questions and are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership.
