About On-Track

Welcome to On-Track! This page is the home for anyone interested in following the work done by the city.

The City of Brighton launched this feature in October 2019 as a way to continue to increase its transparency. On-Track allows residents, City Council, and employees to all have access to information about where projects stand and when others have been completed.

Strategic Plan

During 2018, the City Council underwent the process of creating and adopting Brighton’s first Strategic Plan. This plan is intended to provide a high-level focus on the most critical priorities facing the City in future years. Council will revisit the Strategic Plan every two years, with the next update anticipated in the spring of 2020. City Council officially adopted the Strategic Plan on May 1, 2018. The Adopted Strategic Plan pictured to the right and lists every focus area with a description.

Following the adoption of the Strategic Plan, City Council and Staff completed the process of identifying the most critical initiatives that align with the newly adopted Strategic Plan Focus Areas. The resulting 2018-2019 Business Plan includes initiatives that the city will undertake over the next two years. These initiatives are critical to the successful execution of the Strategic Plan. City Council officially adopted the Business Plan on August 7, 2018.

The On-Track Strategic Plan Dashboard is a way for residents to follow progress on those individual business initiatives and the City Council's strategic plan as a whole.

How to navigate On-Track

While navigating the dashboard you'll notice projects fall under one of eight strategic focus areas that the Brighton City Council adopted back in 2018.

If you need help to navigate the dashboard, please read our how-to guide!

More features coming in 2020

By early 2020 residents will also be able to view the city's five-year Capital Improvement Plan. This additional dashboard will track the city's progress on its plan for the 2020-2025 fiscal years.
