Research Room

Research RoomResearch room is located inside the Historic Preservation Office within Historic City Hall - 22 South 4th Avenue.

The Brighton Historic Preservation Commission has recently opened its research room for citizens and professional researchers.  We have the following items, which are available to the public for research/review:

  • City Directories - 1923 through 1968;
  • Brighton Blade newspapers;
  • Fort Lupton Press newspapers;
  • Adams County Register newspapers;
  • Japanese American News - 1941 through 1958;
  • The Nichi Bei newspapers (circa 1940's);
  • Colorado Times newspapers (circa 1940's);
  • The Rocky Nippon newspapers/The Rocky Shimpo newspapers (circa 1940's);
  • Maps-1916 Willits Farm Map/City aerials/other historic regional maps;

In the future, all of these will be available through an online collections website - link coming soon!

Research Room hours are:

7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
