Mission Statement
On November 20, 2001, the City of Brighton created the Historic Perservation Commission, which would have principal responsibility for matters of historic preservation within the City of Brighton.

The Brighton Historic Preservation Commission
- Review resources designating historic sites.
- Review and make decisions on alterations of historic sties.
- Assist owners of historic properties on physical and financial aspects of historic preservation.
- Develop and assist in public education programs to historic preservation.
