Board of Appeals303-655-2016
The Board of Appeals consists of five residents of the City of Brighton who are qualified by experience or training to rule or review upon matters pertaining to building construction. The Board acts in order to determine the suitability of alternate materials and types of construction and to provide for reasonable interpretaitons of the provisions of the City's adopted building codes.
Brighton Urban Renewal Authority303-655-2066
The purpose of Brighton Urban Renewal Authority (BURA) is to assist in the reinvestment of property within the designated downtown area. This will include the participation of the City of Brighton and the Urban Renewal Authority to stimulate the private sector to make necessary investments.
Historic Preservation Commission303-655-2043
On November 20, 2001, the City of Brighton created the Historic Perservation Commission, which would have principal responsibility for matters of historic preservation within the City of Brighton.
Legacy Foundation303-655-2045
The Brighton Legacy Foundation promotes and encourages an improved quality of life for the Brighton community. The Brighton Legacy Foundation Board meets the 4th Thursday of every month at 5:00 pm. Meetings are held at Brighton Learning & Resource campus located at 1850 Egbert Street Suite 140 Brighton, Colorado 80601.
Liquor Licensing Authority
The Liquor Authority may grant and refuse licenses and special permits, and approve and deny applications for renewal and transfer of licenses for the sale at retail of malt, vinous or spirituous liquors and fermented malt beverages, designate and assess fees, promulgate reasonable rules and regulations, conduct investigations, and to suspend or revoke such licenses for cause, all in the manner provided by law.
Senior Advisory Board
The Brighton Senior Center Advisory Board is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Members are elected to a three year term. The Board meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1 pm. Meeting location is at the Senior Center, 575 Bush.
