The City of Brighton Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its annual Summer Job Fair from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at the Brighton Recreation Center 555. N. 11th Ave.
The department will be looking for summer camp staff, swim instructors, Oasis concessions staff, lifeguards, childcare staff, youth and adult sports staff, and parks maintenance staff, and custodial. Certain positions will hire as young as 15 years old and there will be volunteer opportunities for youth 14 years of age.
All participants who complete and turn in an application at the job fair will receive a free one-visit pass to the Brighton Recreation Center.
New this year, to help young people wanting to get a summer job become well prepared, the city’s Office of Youth Services will host a Youth Summer Internship and City Employment Launch from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Feb. 24 at City Hall, 500 S. 4th Ave. This is a great opportunity for youth interested in interning or working for the City of Brighton over the summer to build their resume, get tips and tricks for obtaining summer jobs and find out more about what positions the city has to offer over the summer.
