Historic City Hall energy performance ribbon cutting ceremony

The City of Brighton will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Historic City Hall, 22 S 4th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will celebrate the completion of three energy performance measures which include the variable refrigerant HVAC system installation, lighting system upgrades and building envelope upgrades. Main benefits of the upgrades include improve worked space for tenants, improved indoor environmental quality and comfort, maintenance and operations savings and energy efficiencies.

The City of Brighton energy performance contract (EPC) project was approved by Brighton City Council in 2016. The project consists of 22 energy conversation measures.

The Historic City Hall energy performance upgrades were successful through a collaboration with the Department of Local Affairs, Colorado Energy Office and Honeywell.

Funding for the project came from a Department of Local Affairs grant and the City of Brighton’s energy performance contract budget.

For more information about the ribbon cutting ceremony or energy performance contract, please contact Administrative Assistant Brandy Willard at 303-655-2132.
