ARTfest at The Armory seeking artists

ARTfest, Brighton’s community art show, will be Nov. 10 through Jan. 3 at the Armory Performing Arts Center, 300 Strong St. Local artists who want to showcase their artwork may enter through Nov. 2 for a $5 entry fee.

Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the show is full. Each artist will be limited to two pieces. Work must be appropriately framed and wired for wall mounting. Clip-framed work is NOT acceptable. No saw tooth hangers. Gallery wrapped canvas with no exposed staples or tacks will be accepted only if it is properly wired for hanging and all exposed canvas is painted. Artwork is limited to 50 pounds.

Interested artists can download an entry form on the city’s website at www.brightonco.gov/730/ARTfest.

The show is sponsored by the Brighton Cultural Arts Commission and the Armory Performing Arts Center. Partial funding is provided by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.
