Brighton honors spring exhibit artists

The Brighton Spring into Summer artist reception held on June 2 introduced 64 local and regional artists to the public. The exhibit sparkles with over 200 pieces of fabulous artwork in this Eye for Art spring/summer display at Brighton City Hall.

The Spring into Summer exhibit features stunning oils, acrylics, inks, watercolors, beautiful photography, digital paintings, wood relief sculptures, feather art, fused glass, wearable art and fabulous collections to enhance your home, business or office with original artworkThis exhibit is free to the public.

Visitors at the recent reception selected five of their favorite reception artwork by ballotThe five selected artists were recognized with a “Show Favorites” award and $50 in honor of their selectionCongratulations go to: Brian Heritage, for “Blue Cow” wooden relief wall sculpture, Howard Crosslen for “Dressed for Work” in acrylic, Carole Anne Jellico for “Gypsy Magic” mixed media watercolorBenjamin Anderson for “Ballerina in Black & White” charcoaland Edward Hansen for “Beaver Pond” in oils.

This show will be in exhibit through Sept. 8. Don’t miss your opportunity to start your own fabulous collection of original art. Visitors are welcome and tours are available Monday – Friday between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. by appointment at 500 South 4th Avenue
