The Brighton Urban Renewal Authority (BURA) is seeking proposals for acquisition and redevelopment of the properties located at 880, 825, 811, 750 and 740 South Main Street, Brighton, Colorado. BURA began acquiring the portions of this site in 2015 with the final acquisition taking place in December 2016. BURA anticipates the site to be cleared by mid-summer and is completing a land swap with CDOT in order to maximize the developable area at this gateway.
The City and the Urban Renewal Authority see this site as a premier gateway into Brighton and is interested in proposals that incorporate mixed-use design principles and activate the outdoor space in this highly visible intersection.
Proposals must include construction of new buildings and must be accompanied by a firm and credible method of financing the acquisition of the property consistent with the vision and goals of the Authority. Download the RFP here: http://brightonura.org/news/
Responsive proposals submitted on or before 5 p.m. Friday, July 7, to BURA Executive Director Ryan Johnson at 500 South 4th Ave., Brighton, CO 80601, will be considered by BURA. Staff will hold an optional pre-proposal meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Brighton City Hall to discuss the RFP and answer questions.
