Tri-County Health Household Chemical Roundup

  • The Tri-County Health Department organizes an annual event to help dispose of chemical waste safely. Some of the items that are accepted are cleaners, paints, thinners and pesticides for free. Some electronics are accepted as well (some free, some for a fee) Please see website for details.

Xcel Energy Refrigerator Recycling Program

  • Free for Xcel customers, plus a rebate. Please see website for information.

Unwanted Appliances

  • Free for some items, others require a recycling fee (see website for pricing). Pickup option available(see website).

 

Junk:

The following organizations offer recycling for various items. Some of the charities provide opportunities for tax deductions on donations (please contact each charity for more information about tax deductions opportunities).

Spring Back Colorado

  • Mattress recycling – See website for rates. Spring Back Colorado offers mattress recycling for a reasonable cost. Mattresses can be dropped off, or for an additional fee a pickup can be scheduled.

ARC Donation Pickup

Vietnam Veterans Pickup

  • FREE – See website for accepted items and/or scheduling pickup.

Best Buy Recycling Program

  • Best Buy offers free recycling for various household electronic items (please see website for full list of accepted items). Best Buy currently accepts recycling of televisions under 32”.

 

Vehicles:

Below are some charities that will tow away vehicles for free. The vehicles do not need to be operable. Donating to these organizations can offer possible charitable donation tax deductions (please contact each charity for more information about tax deductions).
