Utility Engineering Division

The Utilities Engineering Division is responsible for managing Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) projects for Water, Wastewater, and Storm Drainage infrastructure in both the design and construction phases. This division also provides design review for development projects, inspections for both CIP and development construction, and GIS mapping for Water, Wastewater, and Storm Drainage infrastructure. 

All water, sewer and storm infrastructure within the City limits and/or service area must follow the City of Brighton Standard & Specification Manual

Ongoing Construction Projects

  • 8.3 MG Tank Valve Replacement Project: The City will be replacing the influent and effluent valves on the 8.3 MG water tank in preparation for the installation of a check valve and new effluent line for future use.
  • South Platte Interceptor Interconnect Project: The South Platte Interceptor Interconnect will convey sanitary sewage wastewater from the City of Brighton's Wastewater Treatment Plant to the new South Platte Interceptor. The South Platte Interceptor collects and conveys sanitary wastewater from the northern Metropolitan Denver area to Metro’s new Northern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.
