Water conservation regulations: April 1-October 31
With the irrigation season set to begin in April, the City of Brighton has voluntary water conservation regulations in place that reflect the irrigation season. Irrigation season runs from April 1through Oct. 31annually.
To encourage conservative and responsible irrigation practices, we ask that even numberedaddresses water only Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and odd numbered addresses water only Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Additionally we ask that no irrigation occur between the hours of 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Irrigation during these hours is prohibited. Irrigation between Nov. 1 and March 31 is prohibited, except hand watering of trees and shrubs if necessary.
Water is a valuable resource that all of us are responsible for protecting. The City of Brighton is responsible for bringing safe, quality drinking water to our citizens and to meet the demands of our community, while simultaneously acting to conserve our resources.
Brighton will monitor water conditions during the coming months and will provide periodic updates if necessary. We appreciate the cooperative efforts of our customers as the City continues its efforts to provide a safe and sustainable water supply to our community.
