Backflow Testing Companies play a key role in the success of the City of Brighton’s Backflow Program.
A list of certified testers is offered to our customers to assure them a selection of competent testers. If you are interested in listing your Company, please complete and sign applicable forms. We appreciate your cooperation in complying with the City of Brighton Utilities Department requirements. The accuracy of our records depends upon you and the information you forward to us.
Tester Certifications are to be provided every 3 years to stay active as a tester.
Gauge Calibration Certifications are to be provided yearly previous to expiration.
Fire Registrations with the State of Colorado are to be provided the first of every year for those who wish to test fire devices.
Contractor’s License with the City of Brighton must be provided and renewed as required.
Backflow Reporting Requirements:
Backflow Testing Companies are legally required to turn in passing test reports to the City of Brighton Utilities Department within 10 business days. If a device fails the test, then you need to verbally notify Utilities Department within 24hrs, and send a written notification within 3 business days.
