Members
Members will be appointed by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and will include:
  • Two Parks and Recreation Advisory Board representatives appointed by city council
  • Three members from the public appointed by the Park and Recreation Advisory Board. Brighton residency is not required.

Term

The terms shall be four years providing that the initial appointments shall be one member for a two-year term, one member for a three-year term, and one member for a four-year term and thereafter the terms shall be staggered with new appointments made in April of every year.

Purpose
The purpose of this subcommittee is to investigate and advise the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board relative to the issue of agricultural land in and around Brighton and to consider factors such as sustainability, viability, location, financing, and recommendations on alternatives which may guide and influence how this issue is addressed in future plans of the city.

Appointment of Committee
The members shall be appointed by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Brighton residency is not required. Applications can be picked up at the City of Brighton Parks and Recreation office at Brighton City Hall, 500 S. 4th Ave. or from the city's website

All applications will be reviewed by the two PRAB members that have been appointed by the city council and the top five candidates will then be interviewed by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
